Fifty Pounds or Less

"Get busy living or get busy dying" is one of the many great quotes from arguably the greatest movie of all time, Shawshank Redemption. Almost 20 years after my first semester in college I sold or gave away all my stuff, turned in my work laptop and phone, loaded the balance of my possessions into what I could take on a standard international flight ticket, and began my journey. Most of you likely already realize the weight limit for a checked bag is 23kg (50 lbs). As we approached the first flight this 50lb limit became the focus of the efforts and proved more challenging than expected. It seemed like a good working title.

I started this website in an attempt to document my progress for friends and family who might be interested but mainly to provide an avenue for my random musings and attempts at humor. I hope you find something to make you smile.
