London

The ancient capitol in the north. I thought it would be nice to hear English spoken more regularly but I find it as challenging as a foreign language to understand people in the UK.

Stayed a bit north of London and enjoyed the brief moments of sunshine when they appeared. Made a quick swing through central London but really didn't spend much time in London proper. Also discovered pastel nata on the menu at the coffee shop across from our apartment. They called it a custard tart but I ordered a pastel nata and she knew exactly what I meant. Did get the chance to tour Bletchley Park Museum and see where some of the most brilliant minds of the time helped swing the tide of WWII. A bit of a hike from downtown London but worth a stop if you are nearby.

Another thing we discovered in the UK was the DAVE channel. Just like the human version, it provided hours of humorous entertainment; available across the UK over-the-air. For those curious I also invested in DAVE stock (not the TV channel but some digital bank thing). The stock I cannot recommend with the same fervor, but otherwise strongly recommend investing in all things DAVE.

Recreation of Alan Turing's office at Bletchley Park.

We also made a quick trip over to Oxford, hoping some brilliance rubbed off on me. Found some interesting sites but Logic Lane was decidedly deserted. Not sure if I can draw any conclusions from that or not.
