Barcelona
The first thing we noticed after arriving at the Barcelona airport is the prices for everything have gone up. Not in South America anymore Toto. Even though it was 3x the price, we had our arrival coffee at the nearest coffee shop before we left the airport.
We had not planned to stay in Barcelona long as there were other places we wanted to get to for longer but it was the most reasonable landing place from Buenos Aires so we took the weekend to explore. We walked up and down the streets admiring the unique architecture and noticed a lot more people speaking English. Although the prices were a bit higher, the croissant experience was top notch, and still cheaper than anywhere in the U.S. in my experience. Two lattes and two croissants still only set us back five Euro.
